Stopped at onigiri (rice ball) shop and had one with roasted tea called houji-cha. There are so many kinds of onigiri there just like bagel shop in NYC. Unique version onigiri are … bbq meat, cheese with dried bonito and shoyu, tempura inside etc…but my favorite one is mentaiko (salted fish egg with chili) with shiso leaf. fresh green shiso aroma and taste are lovely combination with mentaiko. The rice was from Shimane Pref. in west Japan. Nice afternoon treat for my busy day!
