Homemade Sweets -Tokushima Sweet Potato

Made this Wagashi (Japanese sweets) tonight. Used satsumaimo (sweet potato) called Naruto Kintoki from Tokushima Pref in Wesr Japan.

The step is so simple and fun! I think it’s good making with small kids together. Just cut sweet potato into round slices . Boiled and drain it well. Before it becomes cold, mash it up in the pot or bowl add sugar (as much as you like) by spatula by mix well. Then take a little amount of potate(approx one table spoon) and wrap by plastic wrap to shape like the image. Add raisin or your favorite if you like. Enjoy!
