Authentic Japanese Cafe in Kyoto

This is one of my favorite Japanese cafe called “Gion Komori” near the Shirakawa River in Shijo. The place is popular among Japanese girls and ambience is awesome! It’s old and traditional style of Japanese house and there are a few big rooms on the first floor and there are four or five tables in each section. They serve traditional sweets such as my pic and also big matcha parfait with ice cream. Their various parfait looked so popular among Japanese girls.

There is no big sign (both in Japanese and English) in front of the shop but there is a menu stand next to the entrance so usually people look at it while they are waiting. They have English menu inside. So you can ask them to bring it for your order! 😉 Enjoy traditional sweets in a very authentic Japanese shophouse ambience 😉
