Hong Kong Dish “Lemon Chicken”

A good friend of mine gave some local produced lemon from Osaki-Kamijima Island. Cooked chicken with Chinese spice called Five Spice 五味粉 then deep fried. The sauce is made by fresh lemon juice with maple syrup(my original version) add some chicken soup stock and starch for finishing to make the sauce a little thick. In Hong Kong, the sauce is more sweet and sour but I just wanted to reduce the sweetness and enjoy the aroma and refreshing flavor of lemon … so it’s a little different from authentic HK Lemon Chicken but loved it as it is!
